Cassie Sabens

RYT 200

Cassie started yoga when she was in college and fell in love with it immediately! Yoga helped her begin to connect with herself in a way that she never dreamed possible and opened her heart to truth and love. Cassie has been a regular practitioner for 6 years and is always learning something new. Yoga has helped her find balance and peace in her life spiritually, emotionally and physically through developing the mind-body connection.

After practicing for 5 years Cassie decided to share the benefits of yoga with her community and take her practice to new heights.  So she began a 200 hour yoga teacher training at Inlet Yoga in Murrells Inlet SC with Maribeth Mackenzie. Cassie's goal as a yoga instructor is to make yoga accessible to everyone and share the peace and well being she has found through her practice by creating a safe and open environment for all.  Namaste!

Rachel Baggett

RYT 200

Rachel took her first yoga class in college and has been in love with the practice ever since. Initially, she was drawn to the intensity of power flows and the challenge of trying new poses, but she has recently learned to embrace the calmness and balance of a more well-rounded (and slower) yoga practice. After five years of on and off practice, Rachel decided to fully commit to yoga by pursuing a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification. She completed her 200-hour RYT through Our Scared Space School of Yoga in Hartsville in December of 2017. Although she would like to teach as many different types of classes as possible, her true passion lies with introducing the joy of yoga to beginners. Off the mat, Rachel can be found playing with her cats, traveling to new places, and eating as much Southern food as possible.

Brooke Watkins

RYT 200

Brooke began her exploration of yoga in college as a form of character development and body awareness during her training in Performing Arts, but it wasn’t until she experienced depression that she began to see the true healing power of yoga. With the guidance of Jamie Martell and Belinthia Elder, she decided to pursue teaching.

She will graduate from Our Sacred Space School of Yoga in October, as a 200-HR RYT. Brooke is the Warrior of Light and plans to use yoga as a tool to help people find the light within themselves.

Off the mat Brooke is a playwright and poet and can be heard laughing in most coffee shops in Florence!

Amanda Hagerman

RYT 200

Amanda began her yoga journey 9 years ago after moving to a new city as a way to cope with the stress of a career in sales. In 2017, she decided to pursue teacher training to gain more insight as to why she was always being called back to her mat. She obtained her 200 hr certification at Be Yoga in Charlotte, NC and maintains that it was hands down the best decision she’s ever made! In teaching yoga, she aims to create a safe space for you to have fun, grow in your practice and leave feeling refreshed and balanced! After all, you’re only one yoga class away from a better mood!

Tasha Brockington

RYT 200

At a time in her life when Tasha was feeling burned out and disconnected from herself, yoga came as a saving grace. Although she’d made many attempts to begin a yoga practice it wasn’t until June 2018 that a search for something deeper landed her back on the mat. The saying “when the student is ready the teacher appears” couldn’t be more true for her. With ease, yoga became a part of her daily routine as she found peace and balance through movement and breath.
Searching for passion and purpose through yoga Tasha came to realize yoga was her passion and purpose. Six months into her daily practice, though not completely sure she wanted to teach, she began her 200hr yoga teacher training through Chakra Flow University in Charlotte, NC. Now a 200-hr RYT nothing brings her greater joy than deepening her spiritual practice as she continues to learn while sharing this experience of mindfulness and peace with others.
Referring to herself as a student of life, Tasha loves to read, travel, and is always open to new and fun experiences.

Sallie Vaughan

RYT 200, Registered & Licensed Dietitian

Sallie Vaughan is a Registered Yoga Teacher at Soulshine Yoga of Florence as well as a Registered, Licensed Dietitian (RD,LD) at Palmetto Health Baptist hospital in Columbia, SC.

Sallie took her first yoga class during her freshman year of college at Virginia Tech in 2009, but was skeptical as she was only used to the strong element of competition from playing sports her entire life. Over the years, she started to appreciate the detachment from an attitude of winning versus losing that yoga provided her.

In March 2017, she received her RYT-200 from Yoga Masala in Columbia, SC through a Rolf Gates Affiliate Program. Sallie is experienced in vinyasa-style yoga and enjoys teaching upbeat, energetic, and sweat-inducing classes.

When off the mat, you can find her playing intramural sports, drinking wine, or spoiling her seven nieces and nephews. Sallie’s goal is to help her students step outside their comfort zone in order to reach their full potential in a positive and encouraging environment.
